Tehran hosting provincial folk festival

TEHRAN - An open-air folk festival, showcasing a patchwork of regional handicrafts, performance arts, rituals, cuisines, and souvenirs from across the country is underway at Tehran’s Bahman Cultural Center.

Representatives from 24 provinces including Golestan, Bushehr, Fars, Ardebil, Hormozgan, Khuzestan, and Yazd are offering their works by means of 70 stands and 4 traditional black tents, Mehr news agency reported on Wednesday.

The festival runs through January 16 at the center located Vafai Alley, Bahman Sq., Navvab Ave.
